ChatSocket / Realtime Messaging

The core of the room

Messages that arrive before the next keystroke

ChatSocket runs on WebSocket, not polling. Every message, reaction and status change reaches every participant in milliseconds, with no refresh and almost no bandwidth.

How it works

When a member sends a message, the room pushes it to every connected browser over a single persistent WebSocket connection. There is no refresh, no delay and no polling loop burning battery. If the connection drops, the room reconnects on its own and picks up exactly where it left off.

What members see

Typing indicators

See who is typing before their message lands, so conversations feel natural.

Read receipts

Know when a private message has been seen, marked with a small check next to the bubble.

Replies

Reply to a specific message and the original is quoted above your text, linked so a click scrolls back to it.

Private threads

One to one conversations open beside the room, so you never lose the main chat while talking privately.

Emoji and stickers

Built in emoji picker and sticker packs, plus custom emoji your room can upload.

Link preview

Links show a small preview card, and suspicious URLs are held for review instead of posted raw.

Private messages

Click any member and open a private thread. Private messages carry their own read receipts, blocks and notifications, and stay completely out of the public room. The roster on the right shows who is available, and your recent threads are one click away.
